Raw Cows Milk Fontina Val d'Aosta
I’ve never had raw cows milk cheese before, just bland, tasteless, grocery store cheeses. Frankie’s Fontina Val d’Aosta is delicious. It’s kind of creamy with a very slight zing. I love it.
I had high hopes for this cheese being soft and creamy since it’s stated that it has a high fat content, and it delivers so well. I’m not the biggest fan of hard, dry cheeses, so this one’s definitely a new favorite. Very mild taste as long as you cut the ribs away a couple centimeters or else you’ll get an earthy/hay flavor, still amazing and delicious.
Tastes like one of the better cheeeses I have tryed. I would have like to know more details about the farm where it comes from.
