All of our beef is 100% Grass Fed and Grass finished raised on Pasture year round.

Why Free Range?

The nutrition of our food depends on how it was grown, especially animal products. These vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are stored in the protein and fat, determining both taste and nutrient content. Feedlot animals are not only missing the quality diet that make their meat taste good, they can have “off” flavors, a lower nutrient content, and an imbalanced fatty acid ratio. We strive to procure quality animal products that are both enjoyable and nutritious, as it should be.

Our tallow is low temperature rendered. We keep the temperature low to maintain nutrition and prevent degrading the fat.

    I usually make my own tallow from a few different local farms, and I’m very picky with which I use in my pemmican. Only 1 of my local 3 farms is worthy of my pemmican and now I can say Franky’s great tasting tallow is definitely worthy. I dehydrated a heart and a lot of Scottish highlands cow roasts and made some great pemmican. Eat Meat Make Babies.

    This tallow is by and far the best I’ve ever used. I usually buy a supposed grass fed tallow from the supermarket and I thought the smell and flavor it had was normal. It’s not. Frankie’s tallow smells very pleasant and the flavor is identical to the flavor of high quality grass fed beef fat. It works great for cooking, I like to add a little to ground beef to increase the fat content and nutrient intake of the meal. I have also used it to season my carbon steel frying pan. Works great, tastes great. Well worth it.

    I made my own tallow with the beef fat from the fat pack. It turned out pretty good, however Frankie’s tallow still tastes better. It has a smokey/beefy flavor. Really delicious!

    The last time I had Tallow was 7 years ago when I had access to a good quality animal food from locals in Yemen. This tallow is as great as the one My grandma used to make me when I was a child. I am glad I got to know Frankie’s free range meat, so I can enjoy having animal food again.

    I regularly eat a lot of fat being on a keto-type diet called GAPS. I frequently just eat the fat off a spoon to make sure I get it all & it doesn’t just stick to the side of the pot i’m cooking in. So i really can tell the taste difference to other tallow i’ve had. It has a super clean taste, not too beefy & it’s very smooth, not waxy as some can be.

    Just received my order yesterday. I messed up on my end when I placed my order and forgot to add the tallow to my order. I thought for sure that I was going to need to create a new order and probably pay for shipping. I sent an snail and Frank added it to my order and sent me an email with a bill, plus he added my discount code to this item. I couldn’t be happier. Everything arrived in perfect condition, frozen solid. I like the added protection that they give by wrapping every piece in paper over the vac package. I’ve received meats from other sellers that the plastic was broken due to the products shifting against each other at such cold temps. This is my second order from Frankie’s and I will be back for another.
