These dawgs are pencil thin. I was expecting a big strapping sausage and was underwhelmed when I opened the package and too my surprise was staring at multiple pencil thin 8-10 inch brown sausages.
Very good flavor, texture is more like a sausage than a hot dog however. I cooked these over a campfire and they worked great!
The wife said to never cook those in the house again as the smoke added really took a toll on the house. Tasted good sadly but it was pretty bad. Would recommend dropping SMOKED flavor and it would be 5 stars.
I’m always impressed by the flavor and quality of both the hot dogs and the scrapple. The scrapple especially is so unique, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. Staples of the beef share if you ask me!
I decided to try the beef share because it was an affordable $45 and I didn't know what to expect. It came completely frozen which is good but it took almost 3 days to thaw. The spice blend was very tasty and the scrapple was way better than Shoprite brand scrapple. Most grocery store bought meat is very smelly and stinks up the entire room and the taste lingers in your mouth long after you've eaten it. All of the meat has a mild taste and it doesn't overstay it's welcome in terms of taste and smell. Everything else was good but not amazing. It's good for the price.
