Why Free Range?

The nutrition of our food depends on how it was grown, especially animal products. These vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are stored in the protein and fat, determining both taste and nutrient content. Feedlot animals are not only missing the quality diet that make their meat taste good, they can have “off” flavors, a lower nutrient content, and an imbalanced fatty acid ratio. We strive to procure quality animal products that are both enjoyable and nutritious, as it should be.

Also, I really like how this meat is so consistent in color and texture all the way through. I hate it when you get ground beef from the grocery store and it’s grey inside and bright red on the outside. This is 100% red throughout. Will definitely order more!

    It is good. I’m on my second batch. I will note my first batch seemed a lot higher in fat content (which actually made awesome burgers) while this batch is a little more of your typical 80/20. Either way I’ve made burgers and a meat sauce with it and it is great.

    This ground beef is noticeably tastier than mass produced supermarket beef. The fat and protein ratio is perfect and it’s just generally easier to eat and prepare as opposed to a steak. Each package is packaged in 1 lb portions and I enjoy eating one package as a single cooked patty with some of Frank’s raw cheese shredded on top.

    This stuff is amazing, super fatty, tender, and delicious. I made some 8 oz burgers and cooked them in a cast iron with some ghee, topped with raw cheese. That 70/30 grind allows you to get a really good crust fast, while keeping the inside nice and raw on a medium high heat. Highly recommend.

I do tend to buy the beef mixed with organ meat so I can keep my organ needs met, however, even the regular ground beef is very worthy of your grill!     This is the finest ground beef I’ve ever tasted. Anyone who says it’s placebo is b.s.ing. you can distinctly tell the quality makes a huge difference in taste. It even looks better the way it cooks. One thing is my first pack had a micro slit somewhere, so when thawing it got blood around my fridge shelf. I don’t care though because I know the boys are finely taking good care of all the meat. It just made me more excited to consume it after wiping up the blood.

    I’ve tried so many grocery store-bought ground beef whether it was grain-fed or grass-fed, none of them are nearly as good as Frank’s. The meat arrived frozen solid, and admittedly when I first thawed it out it looked gross to me. I had never seen that much fat before embedded into the meat. I pan-fried it without any added tallow or salt. It tasted way better than that feedlot beef with butter and salt added to it! Everyone on the forums say grain-fed tastes better than grass-fed, well I would say that is true for the common store-bought versions. I’ve bought $ 10-a-pound grass-finished ground beef from stores that literally taste inedible, it’s chewy, dry, and has an acrid taste to it, so much so that I preferred the grain fed version. Wish I found this meat source a year ago!
