Why Free Range?
The nutrition of our food depends on how it was grown, especially animal products. These vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are stored in the protein and fat, determining both taste and nutrient content. Feedlot animals are not only missing the quality diet that make their meat taste good, they can have “off” flavors, a lower nutrient content, and an imbalanced fatty acid ratio. We strive to procure quality animal products that are both enjoyable and nutritious, as it should be.
I’ve never cook quail before. I marinated them overnight with Worcestershire sauce, coconut aminos, a little molasses, lemongrass, and dry herbs. And oven baked them. Came out very tasty and flavorful. They’re very lean and not greasy, tastes better than chicken. It was kind of fun eating them if you somehow like the experience of picking apart the bones.
Probably makes a good treat for the dogs. Or you could save the bones to make broth.

For these quails being pretty lean and small, I didn’t expect to be able to get much flavor or moisture from them. However, these were extremely moist, and tender, with the flavor of the highest quality chicken you can think of. Great addition to your diet, and very approachable.

I’ve never tried quail so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but these little guys were so cute! They came in a pack of four and they were like tiny little chickens. They had good flavor and cooked very easily in the air fryer. I think I overcooked them a little but they weren’t dry and still tasted amazing! I ate all four of them in one sitting so don’t plan on sharing when you make these!

I ordered the deboned version of the quail shortly after Frankie introduced it in his Day of Eating video. What really surprised me was his eating it nearly raw! It was seared on both sides on the grill then eaten. I chose to do the same and I was NOT disappointed! It was very tasty and being almost boneless, it was easy to cook and consume. I’ll definitely order it again in the future.

I purchased both boned and de-boned Quail to try for the first time mainly because they weren’t fed soy or corn in their feed. I seared the boned Quail in some of my daughter’s Amazing herb butter and then put them in the oven at 500 F for 15 minutes. They were scrumptious! I found myself eating the bones along with the meat. I am doing this review only because I came back to the website to purchase more and decided I needed to let others know about my purchase experience. Loved treating me and my boyfriend to these lovely quails, they were so good pan seared and then roasted in the oven with butter, lemon, parmesan, real salt, and herbs, on a bed of buttery quinoa. I didn’t take anything out I just cooked them bone in and it turned out great. Good special occasion meal as they are more expensive for the amount of meat you get.. Still much cheaper than restraunt prices though.

Quail was easily obtainable where I lived prior, but now I have to order online. I used to use Wild Fork, but now their shipping costs more than the meat, so I order from shops that have reasonable shipping or free shipping with a reasonable expenditure. Most of what I order is for my cat. However, the quail was a shared item this go-round. The size was typical to what I bought in the market and price is in comparison to many online shops for this size. I roasted them and they tasted delicious. My order arrived quickly and was packaged very well. I live in the ice box of the nation, but this will be good for warmer weather purchases.
