Why Free Range?

The nutrition of our food depends on how it was grown, especially animal products. These vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are stored in the protein and fat, determining both taste and nutrient content. Feedlot animals are not only missing the quality diet that make their meat taste good, they can have “off” flavors, a lower nutrient content, and an imbalanced fatty acid ratio. We strive to procure quality animal products that are both enjoyable and nutritious, as it should be.

    Sous vide this at 129 degrees, then in a hot cast iron skillet with beef tallow for 30 seconds a side. Excellent quality.

    If you’re a steak lover, then you know that the best time of day to eat a delicious piece of meat is breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, there’s nothing better than having some marinated skirt steak paired with some pasture raised eggs cooked over easy. For lunch, try a skirt steak sandwich with melted cheese and onions. For dinner, carve up this skirt steak and made tacos for the whole family. Here’s a marinade I use that works very well before grilling Frankie’s skirt steak:
    2 handfuls of fresh cilantro
    3 cloves garlic
    1 tbsp cumin
    1 tsp fresh pepper
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 cup olive oil
    Zest + juice 1 lime
    2 tbsp coconut aminos or tamari

    Let sit for at least 2 hours up to 8 before grilling. Enjoy!

    i much prefer eating this over a ribeye from a restaurant. its extremely rich in flavor and not overly fatty. there is a fair amount of connective tissue, which i do enjoy. i cook blue rare and put some lime/adobo. this is the main cut of steak i order at least 3 times monthly. affordable, healthy, and delicious. comparable to the prices at costco for significantly better quality.

    I believe this is our 4th order with Frankie. I’m glad we tried this cut of beef as it is my husband’s favorite now. I’m beginning to see more packages with the label stating “grass fed, grass finished” which I very much appreciate! That’s the only concern when ordering but we do enjoy the flavor and quality that we have been getting on several different cuts.

    Frankie’s skirt steak is amazing quality and great price. The thing I like the most is how fresh the steak is compared to grocery stores. Id rather pay sometimes more or less to support Frankie instead of buying potential rotten meat from the grocery store.
