Why Free Range?

The nutrition of our food depends on how it was grown, especially animal products. These vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are stored in the protein and fat, determining both taste and nutrient content. Feedlot animals are not only missing the quality diet that make their meat taste good, they can have “off” flavors, a lower nutrient content, and an imbalanced fatty acid ratio.     I went to get a free birthday meal at a local restaurant and had an NY cooked just like I like it and it was okay. Then I got Franks box of NY’s and they were so much more flavorful and satisfying. Maybe 10% tougher than a conventional NY but I cook rare so it makes no difference really. Nice conveniently located strip of yellow fat along one side. Love the steaks mmm

    I bought the Fatty Beef box last round and found myself drawn to the NY strip for its tenderness and thick fat cap. So this time I bought just a full box of NY strips and cod liver oil which has become a staple as we descend into 5pm sunsets. Anyway, THEY ARE SO GOOD. The fat cap is so thick. I buy grassfed from WF in between but Frankie’s genuinely tastes way more ‘rich’. I can 100% tell the taste-test difference.

    I grew up eating NY strip steaks & always loved them. I don’t think I tried a ribeye until I was in college & that became my favorite cut. This was my 1st time trying Frankie’s strip steaks & they did not disappoint. He cuts them 2-inches thick with a nice thick fat cap. The meat is a deep red color, the steaks are tender & flavorful & they cook up very fast so don’t walk away from the pan if you want them rare! His ribeyes are still my fave, but these sirloins are a close second.

    I have ordered the NY Strip twice from Frankie, and both were delivered in great shape. The steaks came packaged in vacuum sealed bags and varied in weight from about 3/4 of a pound to 1 1/2 pounds. Both times I have received roughly 10 lbs, not the advertised 9. The price and quality here is really hard to beat. Thanks buddy!!

    Very tender beef and the fat was yellow and tasted amazing! Just ordered it again!
    Also, all of the cuts were generously more than one pound each, so you get more than you bargain for which was great. I also ordered the wygu beef fat on the side, so good you can actually eat it raw. After each meal I feel like I’m getting a brain massage. 5 stars for sure!

    Do no sleep on these. They are JUST as good as ribeyes and have a richer flavor in my opinion. With a reverse sear the fat cap melts in your mouth. Great product!
