All of our Lamb is 100% Grass Fed and Grass finished raised on Pasture year round.
Why Free Range?
The nutrition of our food depends on how it was grown, especially animal products. These vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are stored in the protein and fat, determining both taste and nutrient content. Feedlot animals are not only missing the quality diet that make their meat taste good, they can have “off” flavors, a lower nutrient content, and an imbalanced fatty acid ratio. We strive to procure quality animal products that are both enjoyable and nutritious, as it should be.
Uses
Marinade in salt and milk or water overnight, pan sear or throw on the grill!
Other kidneys ive had tasted pretty off but franks always I lightky cook to keep vitamins and really enjoy. Can’t recommend enough

Well, the first kidney I taste in the bag, wow, it was so good raw, did not have any after taste or anything, but the next kidneys, have the same taste but there is a bitter, a bit like urine taste that makes this a bit disgusting to eat it raw. Cooked is ok, way better than commercial kidneys, there is honestly no comparison, but I really thought that these grass fed kidneys would be absolutely delicious.. but overall is a great product, you can feel the quality difference

Purchased lamb kidney for my dog’s raw food diet. The kidneys arrived quickly, still frozen, and in vacuum sealed packaging. My dog enjoys his daily portion. The kidneys are larger than I’d expected, which isn’t a problem except that I had to thaw them to cut them to size. I would have appreciated if the kidneys were frozen individually before being vacuum sealed because that would’ve made it easier to take out portions as I needed them. Instead I had to thaw the whole package in the fridge, cut them to size, and refreeze. The extra step isn’t so bad, but I worry about bacteria growth in the freezing/refreezing process, even if I do it as safely as possible. But, it’s a good product, good service, and a good price. I will likely order again when we run out.

Once I learned how to remove the fat, inside and out, they became much more palatable to eat – not so chewy! Great flavor when cooked on the rare side in unsalted butter (butter from grass fed cows).

I thawed out the Lamb Kidneys, than after rinsing them off I placed the Lamb Kidneys into a bowel of milk with about a tablespoon of Salt.
24 hours later I washed off the salted milk and simmered them on a low heat for about 2 hours.
I than sliced the Kidneys and sauteed them in some unsalted Butter, and just before serving them I deglazed the pan with Armagnac.
Ohhh they were ever so tender with a delightful flavor!
