Amazing Quality

Freshest Beef I have had. The Ground Beef definitely tasted better than any I have had previously. I noticed I did not have histamine reactions to it as I do some Ground Beef. I liked that the Ground beef was separated into 1 lb packages . All the cuts were very good and I continue to be impressed by the quality/sourcing of Frankie's

Really Nice Assortment

Was a little concerned when ordering that specific cuts were unknown but am really happy with the assortment that arrived. Seemed like a very fair mix. The awesome taste and texture sealed the deal.

I taste the difference.

While I have access to grassfed beef, none of it has a yellow or gold color to the fat. I really can taste the difference. frank's meat has a mild pleasant carrot flavor. I think it is because I can taste the carotenoids stored in the fat. It was shipped 2 day shipping but as always, ups delivered it 3 days. It was shipped from the bronx to south texas in 90 degree weather on a hot truck. the outside of the box was toasty. when I got it inside and opened it, the meat was cold to the touch and the ice packs were half melted. I think it could have made it to day 4 without spoiling but definitely not 5 days.
My only critique about this is, this is frank's first time shipping fresh unfrozen meat. all the icepacks where at the bottom of the package and the meat was on top. the most upper steak while cold to the touch, it wasn't as cold as the lower meat. I suggest frank puts in half the ice pack first, then the meat, then the other half of ice packs... still, that not as cold steak was the first one i opened. I smelled it first and it had a fresh beefy smell, I took a bite out of it raw. first thing I noticed was the mild carrot flavor.
I was really shocked about that. the meat was super fresh even being the one steak that was the least cold. I think I ate about 6 or 7 bites of that steak raw before i seared the outside, forgetting to salt my meat first because I was that excited about having frankie's meat in my mouth, sliding down my throat.
Today I tried tartar with the raw ground beef with a couple egg yokes cracked over it for the first time. It didn't taste like any ground beef I've ever sampled raw before. The supermarket ground beef always tasted sort of watered down and greasy. frank's was slightly less finely ground and tasted the way i'd expect decent quality meat to taste ground. This is the first time i didn't hate eating ground beef on my keto diet. but i think it's going to get turned into jerky via jerky gun/dehydrator. Thanks Frank! =^-^=
