Chicken Liver Pate - 16oz
Based on the reviews I ordered two of these and overall I am quite pleased. As you can tell from the previous reviewers it is very difficult to pinpoint what this tastes like - it is extremely complex. I estimate my first serving was around 4oz; it felt like I was endlessly slicing into it trying to figure out how the hell to describe the taste. I didn't have time to try it at room temperature as it just finished thawing from a frozen state, but I suspect it will be even better. To keep it short a great complex taste and a smooth texture. My only other observation that I have is a small amount of bloating in my stomach. I don't know if that's due to the dairy, honey, or brandy. I still have 1.5lbs left so I will keep an eye on it - thankfully it doesn't take much to reach satiety.
If I could give tips to those who purchase this: When you are ready to thaw, cut the sealed bag open and put the frozen pate in a Ziploc bag removing as much air as you can. This can be a bit crumbly when its thawed so better to do the transfer when frozen. Also this (for me) is a high satiety food: it doesn't take much to feel full. I don't think I would thaw the entire 16oz block so take just what you need and put the rest back in the freezer.

This chicken liver pate tastes great! I was a little skeptical before trying it because the liver I've tried before had a somewhat bitter flavor. But this liver didn't taste bitter at all, and was actually pretty savory and good!
Soooo some reviewers think that it tastes like ice cream, while others think it tastes like chocolate mousse. This will probably sound weird, but the taste reminds me of white cheddar flavored popcorn.... And I love the taste of white cheddar flavored popcorn. The texture is interesting too. It's like a solid, crumbly pudding?? It's soft and malleable, and kind of just melts in your mouth. It's unlike anything I've ever had before, but it tastes good and I enjoy the texture, so it's a very enjoyable product to eat overall. I can say that this chicken liver pate is definitely the most enjoyable and approachable organ I've eaten before, after having tried veal brain and veal liver. This will likely become a staple in my diet, and I'll definitely be ordering again in the future!
Oh my God, Oh my God! This liver pate is so incredibly delicious!!!!! Whoever came up with this recipe is a total genius! This is going to sound weird, but it tastes and feels like chocolate mousse. I am not kidding. Frank, please don't run out of this, ever. Pretty please!! (It's out of stock right now as I write this ha ha - I totally lucked out and ordered when I did!) I think you need to increase your production of this. I just posted about it in a carnivore group with 19,000 members!!
I got the pate 2 days ago and almost finished it already because of how tasty it is! Reminds me of fois gras, but much more delicate
