Quiche Lorraine is a savory French tart with a flaky pastry crust filled with a rich custard of eggs, cream, and smoky bacon (lardons), often with Gruyère cheese. While the original recipe was simpler, modern versions typically include cheese and sometimes onions or shallots, baked until golden and set. It’s a versatile dish, great for brunch or lunch, and can be made ahead of time.
